What are tonsil stones?

Postby ray » Thu Jan 01, 2009 4:34 pm

Tonsil stones are more of an annoyance than an actual health risk.

They look like little white/off white growths in the back of your throat inside your tonsil crypts. They may feel like a foreign object lodged in your throat. Sometimes you cough them up. Other times you swallow them or you may even pluck them out if you can.

Apparently, they smell pretty bad.
