Does diet affect your tonsil stones?

Although ther's no scientific data to back this up, it seems that I have had more occurrances of tonsil stones after eating sunflower seeds. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this or some other food item triggering tonsil stones.

I have tonsil stones and my cholesterol is a little on the high side. I have not heard of anyone linking high cholesterol to tonsil stones but I thought it was worth mentioning.
